Two photos I took at the factory that didn't fit in anywhere else.
This is an unfinished cut-out of aluminium grip panels. Those who have been following Rohrbaugh for a while will remember that the original prototypes had silver colored aluminum grips.

For those who have asked -- here it is -- a stainless steel R-9 frame! This was a very early prototype frame. It had a standard button type mag release (not shown). This one was also cut under the trigger guard for the patented safe gun technology lock that was later dropped.

I have mentioned before - I can hardly begin to guess at the vast expenses incurred with R&D and prototyping earlier on. This pup has been thru many metamorphoses on the route to what we see now.
