I am on the list, patiently waiting for my R9s. Meamwhile I have sold my Kel-Tec .32. I think that was a very nice gun for a number of reasons, 1. relaible 2. good trigger 3. accurate for its purpose 4. very comfortably concealable. Big drawback - The caliber. My reason for this text is that I will miss very much the clip on my Kel-Tec. Easy to conceal w/o the bulk of a holster, I have carried all day with no discomfort at all. Has anyone given any thouhgt to devising a clip for the R9s?

Hi Augie - welcome here! :)
I still have a Kel-tec, tho the P3AT - and have never used clips on it or anything else. AFAIK there is or has been, no move afoot to make anything for the R9. I daresay some ingenuity might yield useful results but I manage fine with pocket or belt carry (small OWB - see other thread where we are talking holsters and cant etc.)
Hopefully other members may have some thoughts for you.
Hope your wait for the pup will be not too long - and bearable!

Augie,
Welcome to the forum.
Clipdraw makes a "generic" clip draw that attaches to the gun with some type of very strong ahesive. It should work on about any autoloader -- including the R-9.
That being said... I personally wouldn't carry IWB with a clip. To me, the most important job of a holster is to (hear the regulars on the board fleeing this thread as the soapbox makes its appearance) .... protect the trigger. With clip carry, the trigger is exposed.
If you think holsters add that much bulk -- maybe you are using the wrong holsters...?
The R-9, to me, is not ideal for IWB carry. Pocket carry is its natural and preferred position. Even OWB belt carry might be just as good, given the size.
Pocket carry has been discussed ad nauseum here... so I won't go into it again... but you should give it a try. If you really want a clip, try the generic clip draw.
Hope you stick around the forum -- its a great place.

"Strong adhesive" - on an R9's CF grips - sacrilage!! ::) :P ;D

No, no, no.... It would go on the slide.
See this example:

They say it will do no damage...

Thanks for the warm welcome. The universal clipdraw looks like a winner (no sense re-inventing the wheel). I will review the past posts for a proper holster also. Keep your power dry!

I guess it should be noted that we have at least four custom holster-makers who are registered and appear on this board -- some, of course, more often than others...
