Post by: R9SCarry on April 20, 2005, 12:07:53 AM
Guys - word of new ammo - for short barrels - to save copy and paste ... drop in to THR to read up on it.

This seems more than a little interesting - so far.

Looks like they were thinking of the R9's when they developed those! I am going to be doing some home made expansion and penetration testing now that the weather is nice and the days are longer. These will definitely be on the list.

I shall have to get some eventually too - and add some tests to the data I have gotten so far.  Doubt the price will be any too kind tho!

Chris,
Glad the 20s do you well.More shootin-less loadin is always better. ;D

New loads are a great thing..I do hope they do a non +P load.
I dearly love the GD 115 in my R9.. 8)

Take care..

On the speer-bullets.com ballistics page (http://www.speer-bullets.com/default.asp?s1=7&s2=26), they have posted ballistics for all of the new short barreled ammo.  The 124gr  +P goes out of the barrel at 1150 fps and  364ft.lbs. of energy.  The results are from a 3.5" barrel.

The only 9mm they had was +P.  :-[
