Yup, I'm supposed to get my R9 in Sept.. yahoooo!
I just ordered a bunch of Speer 124 ammo from Midway @ 11.99/box. How does that price compare to youse guys purchases?? I doubt I'll be spraying the range with this tiny beastie like I do with my .45s, but I will need more ammo, I predict.

Thanks, Newt. Yeah, I'm in it for the long run. I have been searching for a little niner to replace that Detonics Pocket Nine for years, now.
Hey, maybe I should get a mess of the 115rnds, also? What do you think?

Get the Hedley pocket holster first and you won't be sorry! I like RJ's front pocket because I can also use it in my back pocket and it won't print.
-
And vice versa, for I often carry one of RJ's so-called "Back-Pocket" holsters in my front pocket.

I really appreciate the advice on the holsters, guys. Heaven knows I have about 100 worthless (almost) holsters from my experimenting with my other handguns. :'(
The holster thing has me leaning towards a IWB as that is what I had settled upon with that Pocket Nine and I found it to be one of the few configurations which would allow presentation of the weapon from the sitting (auto, etc) position. I wore that little semi in a Uncle Mike's right of the strong side, but a bit to the front. Very concealable, very handy.
A good shoulder holster would also interest me.

Skyhook,
If I get an IWB holster for my R9S, it will have to be the VM-2 in black horsehide from Milt Sparks.
That would be an outstanding combination. It would be so beautiful, you would have to raise up your shirt or jacket so people could see it. :D
