I carry my spare magazine in that small jean pocket that sits over the right front pocket. It's just the correct size to hold the R9 mag and with an untucked shirt, the mag disappears from sight yet is within easy reach.
I've noticed that when I carry the spare mag this way, a round ejects itself from the magazine. This hasn't happened only once ot twice but pretty regularily every couple of hours.
Has anyone else expereinced this or heard of something like this?
Suggestions on how to correct this problem?

Fudster:
A magazine case should prevent the problem, but it might add too much bulk for that particular pocket. (Being in my seventh decade of life, my generation often refers to that as a "watch pocket." :'()

I've heard of this happening with other magazines.

OK RJ, it is good to see your smiling face once again. The cat is nice but why not show off your face with all that character patina.

That's a mighty fine looking magazine holder.
I've got one, too. It is highly recommended!

RJ, I like that. How do I order a couple?
PS: I dont do PayPal -- would a postal MO be a problem?

Fudster - do the shells only eject when a cute lady walks by?
Richard - I'm in my 5th decade and we always called that a "watch pocket" also. I remember many people carrying pocket watches in them.
RJ - can't decide between the cat and your wise face -- decisions, decisions.

I'm happily married so I always have a cute lady around ;)

alternate - hey - another new guy - welcome along. :)
I agree - there are many mags when if carried ''loose'' can see the top round gradually ''walk'' out of place.

This happens to me whrn I put a Kahr 9mm magazine (for a P9 Covert) into the change pocket of my jeans. A mag holder should fix it. I should order one myself...

Good. I was beginning to think that it was just me since I've also experienced this with the mags for my Colt Pocket Nine and my Kahr MK9.
Next question is WHY? What causes this to happen?

Fudster, body movement
Tom

To add to Tom's comment - yes body movement but the part of that which also translates to cloth movement in and around the pocket - all adds up.
Alan - another answer - stand still all day LOL! :P ::) ;D

A big recommendation for RJs mag holder ;D
I have not had a problem with any of mine popping out rounds so fitted.. ;)
I keep mine in the front "off" pocket and have no complaints as yet!! 8)
