I'm not sure if this qualifies for DV, or Abuse? Although my test wasn't as rigorous (according to Glock), or scientific... it never the less has satisfied me that my R-9 won't fail me when the chips are down. I've treated my R-9 with little or no respect. In fact, I've carried it daily over the last six months & have let it become hot, cold, wet, dusty, dirty, full of lint, stored it in a leather holster, fired it upside down, sideways, off hand, limp wristed & put a little more than six hundred rounds through it. NO FAILURES! ;D. I suppose it's time to clean it now.... let's see, drift all pins out to the left and hope to heck I can put it back together! Just kidding. Kudos to Rohrbaugh. :D
P.S. The only thing I'll drive over for testing purposes is my ex wife. Again, just kidding. :(

Haha - sounds like near a torture test!!
Well - that says a lot but hey - get that pup stripped down and well cleaned and new spring too - don't want to stretch things too far! ;)

glazier,
Man oh man. Maybe that's what I was doing wrong with my R-9. I was disasembling and cleaning and lubeing it way too much. ;) I must have spoiled it. LOL ;D

I knew what you meant - I guess you have to be over 50 to remember that one.

The commercials were originally narrated by John Cameron Swayze.

Bill,
Sorry for the late reply. I do remember the John Cameron Swayze Timex commercials. Like the one where they towed the Timex watch behind a motor boat pulled it up and showed it was still running... "takes a licken and keeps on ticken!". For all of you Michiganders, do you remember: " Which way did he go? Which way did he go? He went for Faygo!" The TV ad for Faygo Pop?
Anyway back on track, my repaired R9S seems to be "ticken" along as well as any of my old Timex watches ever did.

"Remember when you were a kid...
Well part of you still is...
And that's why we drink Faygo.
Faygo remembers..."
-
Ed,
I'm glad to hear that your "repaired" R9S is working fine.
It's a great feeling to have confidence in the little fellow. I tried a variety of ammo in mine, and so far everything looks very good.

CaptBW,
Do you have plenty of snow up there in Northern Michigan?
I'm going up there around Christmas time. It would be nice to have a White Christmas.

I am returning to northern Michigan tomorrow (22nd). Hope the snow is deep because new skis are on my Christmas list!
-
Capt, have fun on your new boards but be careful.
I skied Iron Mtn in Mich years ago.

That is interesting Tom. Were you a ski jumper? At one time Iron Mountain was the world record ski jump. It is still world class I believe.
I have done some amazing things on skis, but never tried ski jumping. Remember "the agony of defeat"?
-
Capt, no way on the jumping stuff. Only regular skiing
