Welcome cyberposer!!
I do not believe you will have an accurate determination of when the "change" occurred..

The Bros R have not released the pups in chroni order..Serial wise that is..

I personnally prefer the "Early" blue tint!! :D

Fact: what you can't have is what you want.

;)  Forgive me, Brenden, but your comment reminds me of something I can't resist telling -- even though it is entirely out of context and could be said to "drift" this thread.  ("Lord, I apologize.")

Two of everything is good advice, except when it comes to women.

Back in the '90s, I worked with a man in West Africa who, after having taken two wives, plunged ahead to acquire his allotted quota of six.  According to local law and custom, he was required to give each one of them an equal share of his time, attention, and wealth.  He was a likeable fellow, and a real politician, but I have rarely known anyone who carried around such a wealth of personal problems.

It came as no surprise for me to learn a couple of years ago that he had gone -- prematurely -- to his eternal reward.  (He may have wanted it that way.)

No idea if there is an actual discernible change point that would match a serial number stage.  Possibly not, tho Eric could I daresay place this transition to an approx number - ball park sorta deal.

I am totally guessing but think perhaps around the 800 region - wild guess tho!

Here for the followers of Tantalus are my pups - they both have the old grips but the older of the two is also the silver frame. :)

Dan - I know where Brenden is coming from.  I have two R9s and four Seecamps (for now).  When I find something in high quality that is exactly what I am looking for I at times tend to get a spare - or two.  This habit extends beyond guns.

Brenden is a black belt in possession acquisition--way too
much money and time, but that and several other things
makes the world go around.

tracker my friend..

I have neither too much money (seem to spend it all),and if you only knew about my "time".. ;)

When I find something I truly like/love,do not want to be without it,I will have 2 or more,if at all possible.. ;)

Invariably,the "good" things will stop being made,offered,available!! Been there-done that-got the T-shirt.

Sometimes I get a bit "overboard" and have to make an adjustment in inventory  :o

I have a VERY "difficult" time in passing up a "deal" sometimes, and kick myself for doing so too many times!! :D

Dave,4 Seecamps eh!! 3 .32s and 1 .380 ??

I am near-have a .380 thats been at my friendly downstate dealer since April.. ;) ;D

Lets all keep the economy rolling-I hear that some places have a 1 a month limit on handgun buys? Wellll,12 a year isn't bad!! ;D ;D

Thanks, Brenden; all in good sport--I have similar proclivities.
It takes one to know one. Probably the reason I have 150
golf shirts and 45 pair of shoes is that I felt shorted as an
adolescent.

We are a "family" my friend!! ;) ;D

Brenden - no all .32s - when my LWS.380 comes in that will be five.  Two of my LWS.32s are NIB and I may be giving them away to special people in the future.

I tend to do that with collections of things - I like to share them at times by giving some of what I enjoy to others - given away many knives over the years (custom and production).  Placing a smile on someones face is something that makes me feel good I guess.  I still smile when I think of the surprised look on my pastor's face when I knocked on his door one day and gave him two pocket knives after he mentioned losing his.
