My son bought a Rohrbaugh awhile back. We took it to the range and I really liked the pup. So I purchased one from a forum member. I've had it to the range three times now and I have been trying to find the time to post a range report on it. My wife and I have been in the middle of remodeling our house, so every spare minute has been taken up. Well I'm making the time tonight.
I have shot 200 rounds through my R9s. With the exception of one FTF, it has been flawless. The FTF was a Speer GDHP. It was the 8th round put through the pistol. I may have even limpwristed it and caused the failure, don't know. I put 80 rounds through it the first range session, 70 rounds the second session and 50 rounds the third session.
I've fed the pup Winchester 147gr. SXT, Remington GS, Radway 95gr JSP, Speer GDHP, Winchester 115gr. FMJ, Winchester 115gr. JHP and Remington 115gr. JHP. It likes them all.
As you all know the R9s is not a target pistol, however both my son and I were impressed with the accuracy.
Here's a picture of a target that I shot 10 rounds at 10 yards. This was near the end of my first range session with the pup.

As I mentioned above, I really like the Rohrbaugh. So when the opportunity came up to get a second one, I jumped at the chance. So within a month I became the proud owner of two pups. Number two is a twin of the first one, Deer Park with carbon fiber grips.
Life is good! :)
Well I'd better get back to painting. :(
Take care all.

Hello Brenden;
Thank you for the welcome sir and more importantly, thank you for selling pup #1 to me. It is a great little pistol and I really enjoy having it.
I did take both pups to the range today. Both functioned great with five different kinds of ammo. I really like these little guns. I haven't shot my 1911s since I bought the R9s!
I modified one Pearce magazine extension and tried it out today. It work perfectly. The extra grip area felt better to my hand. However, I did not notice any difference in my groups.
Best regards.

Richard S and MountainMan;
Thank you both.
The folks on this forum seem very friendly which makes it a nice place to be.
I am new to Rohrbaughs, but not to fireams. I have owned, shot and carried for close to forty years. I hope to be able to contribute to this forum on a regular basis.
Best regards.

CMA - Welcome and good shootin'! I don't post much, but have been here about a year, and have a lot of respect for the civility and courtesie of the people here. Not what you commonly find.

Sometimes the best guns are the used and tried.

Hi Craig :) - sorry late with a welcome - not been on for a few days.
Glad you like the pup and am pleased it has seemed to perform well for you.
Most do but now and again it seems there are some problems encountered but, the Bros R do their best to deal with those.
Do stick around and jump in when the mood takes.
