Well, I finally did it. I sent the money for a new R9s. I have been entertaining the idea of getting one for a long time. I've actually had 2 holsters for a R9s for over a year now, lol. Now the wait really begins. I hope to be field testing next Saturday. Any suggestions for a new owner? I stopped and picked up a 3/4X1/2 coupler today. I have a 1/16 punch and spring compresser. Anyone near Mebane NC interested in checking it out. I'll be at DPRC next week. Just look for the short guy with the ear to ear grin. ;D

Congratulations,
You will enjoy the relationship; as Richard said, this is a
thoroughbred and should be treated that way; i.e., a
slow walk aound the track the first time out is good: use
the recommended ammo and let it cool properly; treat it
well and it should treat you the same.

Wow.. ;D
Picked it up after work today. I'm excited and can't wait
until saturday to go shoot it. I am quite surprised tho,
it was so simple and easy to disassemble with nothing
but a small plactic stick to knock out the pin with. Am
I missing something here? Anyway, I'll post some pic's
with my first range report. I think everyone knows what
they look like, lol. I do have a very nice Ron Graham
between the belt and pants holster thats not listed on
his web site. ::)

Went to the range today. Put 6 mags thru it. No problems. I was very impressed with accuracy. I let 2 guys at the range shoot it. One guy had never heard of Rohrbaugh and wrote down everything about it. He said he had to have one. lol I only shot 5 of the mags myself. That was plenty for the first time out. The recoil was stout but not as bad as .357 in an airweight snubby. Came home cleaned and lubed and it's ready for the next trip to the range. A few more sessions like today and the PM9 gets retired. ;D

Schweeeet!!! ;D
I normally do no more than 50 at a session..
What did you feed the pup?

Forgot to post that I shot WWB 100 rd value pack. It feed them from both supplied magazines with no problems. I'll try some Remington 100 rd value box from Wally World at the next session.

Please be aware that some Remms have a bit of a primer issue..
BTW,
My pups have loved eating the WWB 100 Rnd pks.. 8)
Have fun..

Put another 24 rounds thru the R9s. So far, so good.
It's cold, wet and freezing this morning, so I could only
stay outside long enough for 4 mags, lol.

Well I verified today that my R9s doesn't like Remington ammo primers. 18 rounds fired, trigger pulled 24 times. Had my first problem today too. The grip screws came loose. The gun would not fire. Tightened the screws and all was well.

You probably got the new hardened grip screws-they may need to have a "touch" of loctite..
I have not had a problem with any of mine-but it is good to check when cleaning!!
Good to find out the Rem primer thing for your pup though!!
I understand the cold situation-I don't think I could do 2 mags right now!! ;)
