Title: How easy to find? Specific distributors?
Post by: PlayboyPenguin on July 15, 2007, 01:56:45 PM
Now that I am pretty sure that I am going to get an R9s, I am having trouble finding a new one. The one I handled at my dealer was his personal gun. He told me it could take a couple months to get a new one.

Are there any particular distributors I should have him check? Anyone that might have some in stock? or is this wait typical?

I was lucky enough to find my R9s in the showcase at a local gun shop. Right place...right time.
If I were you, I would contact Tom Watson at The Irish Guard Firearms. He is a Forum member here, and on the Seecamp Forum as well. He is a FFL Dealer, and if anyone can help you...it's Tom.
I've got the new, not released yet, R45 on order with him. He was very easy to deal with.
Good luck in you Quest.
Mark

PP:

I too would recommend that you get in touch Tom ("theirishguard").  If anyone can get one to your FFL in a hurry, he would be the one.

How much extra does it cost to buy from someone then have it shipped to an FFL usually?

I am not made of money ya know.  :)

My dealer wants $945 for one new. I guess if I want to save about $80-$100 I would have to wait.
