The magazine catch on my R9S is a little difficult to move back to release the magazine. My Seecamp magazine catch is much easier to move. Will it loosen with some usage or is there something I need to do? Thanks.

Is the Mag loaded when you experience this issue? Could be the extra strong Mag Springs causing this. If it is, it's a good thing...so don't worry. Just push up on the base of the Mag with the side of you index finger, while pushing the Mag Catch back with your thumb. I have to do the same thing since I put the new Mag Springs in.
Later, and good luck,

Mark thanks for the tip. I tried it with the mag. empty and loaded, still difficult but ,as you suggested, pushing up did release some tension and made the operation much smoother. Thanks again, Neal

I daresay that the magazine catch on mine was super hard to move in the beginning but DID loosen up with use, so stick with it!

Hey thanks Eric, That's good news. Pushing up on the base of the mag. helped, although I was hoping it would loosen up a bit more with some use.

Neal, A strong mag catch is a good deal. Tom

Thats good information, never thought about it coming out accidentally.

This style or type of gun is to be used for a last ditch effort to save your life or get you out of the area. The reality is a fast mag change will most likely never happen. Other guns like the 1911 and other pistols are designed with this in mind. Tom
