Title: Which ones have the new springs?
Post by: PlayboyPenguin on July 24, 2007, 09:17:54 PM
Is there a certain number range where anything above that should have the new mag and recoil springs?

I ended up with no. R2148.

It says it was completed 05 JUL 07 so I would assume this one has the newer springs.

Nice thing about the new "Guide Rod Main Spring" is that both ends of the spring are the same (finished). Either end of the "Main Spring" can be installed into the "End Cap", you cannot install the "Guide Rod Main Spring" incorrectly.

How did you find out when yours was made? Is there a database online somewhere? I don't remember seeing anything with my R9.

It was written on the back of the warranty registration card.

If you currently own a Rohrbaugh and are curious as to which recoil spring you have in your gun simply break it down and compare the spring to the photo WS6 posted here. Not to worry, the springs are available from Rohebaugh for only $4.99 plus S&H and they need to be replaced every couple hundred rounds anyway, so buy yourself a few and your good to go. Hope this helps. Neal
