Title: Range Report R9s
Post by: Raybo on August 22, 2007, 04:12:33 PM
have new pup manufactured 8-2-07. two sessions; first, 70 rds white box, 214gr gold dots & federal s/d. second, 80 rds federal eagle, 214gr gold dots, federal s/d & win. sliver tips= 150 rds total. not one single cough or hiccup. not even a stove pipe. perfectly flawless function. can hardly believe it. not new to shooting! am just use to a new gun having some bugs in it the first few rounds. think i'll keep this one. recoil spring collapsed from 1.6" to 1.35". expected some stout felt recoil, but experienced just a little snappiness. end of report.

Welcome Ray in Maine,

Just curious how quickly you run the ammo through your pup. If I run about 4 or 5 mags through mine and it gets hot I will have a misfire now and then. Has not happened when its been cold. I have never had a ftf or fte malfunction on mine in about 500 rounds.

have extra springs so i do carry with a new one. currious how long a used spring might last? did use other guns at range while giving the pup some time to cool between mags.
