Shot my R9S and R9S Stealth today...both aquired over the last 2-3 weeks and had a first chance at the range today. Fired about 6 mags from each with not 1 failure to feed/fire...beautiful! The 2 guys I went with loved them as well. Used the Winchester White box as recommended here with no issues.
The kick was there, but manageable and the groupings were decent, not great. A good warmup for the recoil was my uncle's 44 mag with an 8 inch barrel and a laser sight/scope...solid prep for the pup. Very happy with my purchases...maybe an Elite in the cards down the road?

Glad to hear another positive range report!!
Every person that I show my R9 to automatically comments about how bad the recoil must be for such a small gun.
Why??
Seriously, a gun is going to have recoil just because of the nature of the beast. I find the R9 to be decent, but not difficult to manage.
