Hi all -I actually stopped using my R9 for carry as I consistently had FTF ( one at least on every other 7 shots -Grease/lube clean ,etc...... Now while reading a forum at Seecamp ,I read that this was an issue and the new magazines have different springs-----Ok my 2cents -they should have notified all owners and sent out a mag or 2 ---but if this is true I will pay for my own since I paid for the gun that sits in the safe-------**
-someone advise about this new magazine please -=and Thanks in advance

Well I see your point and understand how you feel.
They not only have new stronger mag springs they have a new improved recoil spring too.
Call up place your order. I had to do the same thing.

My R9 was born on Jan 14, '08. Went to the range last Friday and shot 60 rounds with no problem at all. 6 Speer GDs and 54 WWB. Hope that helps.

I had the same problem and the new springs COMPLETELY solved the problem.
By the way, it's just the springs that need to be changed, not the entire magazine. Order new mag springs and a recoil spring and you will have a reliable gun.

My R9 had FTF problems when I shot it, with the" old " mag springs
However it shot fine for the range officer where I was shooting.
I changed my 4 mag springs out for the "new" ones and no more
problems.I think the old one's work fine for some people. That range
officer looked like he had a much firmer grip than I do when I shoot.
So I can"t blame Rohrbaugh for this,as they seem to work for some.
I'd change your springs out and you should be good to go.

Do the new springs - what do you have to lose and the results may solve everything.

My "old" springs work for me..
Both mag and recoil..
I ordered recoil springs shortly before they came out with the new style..So I will use them up as needed.. :)
I would try the new springs to see if they help you out..Worth a try.. ;)

Me Too, Early Model, old style springs that work just fine. Next time I need spring change will get the new ones. Dan

My old style mag springs did not work worth a crap either. The new ones fixed everything. Gun ran flawless. The original recoil spring was fine.
*edited* to add I agree they should have notified owners that filled out warranty cards and mailed them in.
