Title: trigger pull issue
Post by: Croe on April 16, 2008, 11:34:08 PM
Not sure if this is the norm, but I just got an R9SE and when I initially was feeling the trigger pull, the trigger would slip and the hammer would not engage.  I figured it was the right grip being a bit loose so I changed to the new aluminum grips and when I opened up the right side it appears the sear bar is slipping where it engages the hammer....kind of like it is a bit rounded or something.  Anyone had this issue.  This is a brand new R9SE never fired.

Once I place the new grips on it has stopped slipping, but if I pull the trigger half way back and then slowly release it the slipping occurs again.

Any ideas or is this the norm?

Anyone know if Rohrbaugh can send me a new sear bar?

Thanks!

Croe,

First-Welcome to the forum!!

Being brand new never fired-I would call the R-Bros and see what they say..
It does' not sound normal to me..You may have something out of alignment in the trigger area..

Please let us know what they say..

Once again welcome..

Brenden

BTW-R9SE = Elite? ;)

Just spoke with Maria.  Excellent CS!  She is sending me a new sear bar and spring to try out.  If that does not take care of the slippage I will have to send it in.  Fingers are crossed!

Croe, Congratulations on your R-9SE.  Hope the new sear bar does the trick.  If not I'm sure Rohrbaugh will make it right.  Dan

Croe-

If you have the capabilities to take some quality photos, I would greatly appreciate seeing them.  I think many on this forum would also since there are so few photos and the sanded sides of the slide have looked like a shadow and the Elites have been misrecognized as Stealths.

Please, please, please?

Thanks

Enjoy the R9 and welcome to the forum

Will do once I get the new parts installed.  I will set up my light box and take some shots.

Hope the new parts do the trick!

Great news!  Sear bar and spring came in....quick change out and voila.....trigger issue is fixed!  Have to head out to Baltimore tomorrow so I will probably not get any pics or range time until Friday.  Thanks for all the welcomes and well wishes!

I restate the welcome I posted on another thread and echo Tom's comments on Rohrbaugh's customer service! That's great news.
