My R9 (R26XX) had its first two failure to feeds today. Both were nose down and required me to pull back hard on the slide and jiggle the gun around to get them up the ramp and into the chamber. I started with a fully loaded mag and one in the chamber.
The FTFs were numbers 2 and 4.
Obviously, not good.
I have some 75 rounds total through this gun. About 1/2 WWB and 1/2 Federal 124 grain Hydra-Shox. I keep this gun clean and properly lubed.
I'm writing to ask if any others have had this problem and, if so, what they did about it. I, of course, intend to call Rorhbaugh, but thought I'd ask here first.

I would suggest you try Gold Dot or Silvertip--115 gr. If that
doesn't work call Rohrbaugh, as you said. It appears you are
doing everything right but if something is a bit off, the factory
is the best source.

Tracker,
Thanks for the info. I recall seeing somthing once on this site about Rohrbaugh recommending against using Hydra-Shok. I did a search, but couldn't find it again.

Hydra-shok is not one I would use only because of the superb
experiences with the others. Have you tried another magazine

Yes, the ammo could be the problem, usually is. However the mag spring could also be part of the problem. Tom

Sounds like a mag problem to me also.

A follow up. I spoke to the nice folks at Rohrbaugh. They thought it might be a lubrication problem and recommended Hornady's One Shot as a better lubricant.
I obtained a can and gave it a try. It is both a cleaner and lube in an aerosol can. It is supposed to "work its way into" the metal.
I also cleaned the mag, which may have been just a tiny bit dusty.
Personally, I think it was the mag.
Long story short, I shot it again with the same Federal Hydra Shok 124 ammo and it worked perfectly. One handed, 21 feet, 4 inch groups per 7 shots.
I'm comfortable and confident again.
