Hi Everyone.
Its been a while since I have been here as I have been without my Rohrbaugh. If you recall I posted that I had decided to have a bit of custom work done to it and then my smith ran into some abnormal wear issues. Well we contacted Rohrbaugh and Maria was wonderful to deal with. They paid to have the gun sent back to them so they could inspect it. They wanted to make sure this was just a freak thing and just my luck it was. Well they replaced the slide (even upgraded me to a sighted one :) when I asked if I could pay to have it upgraded since a 9S wasn't avail when I bought mine)
Well today I finally was able to get my schedule to mesh with Ned's so I could go pick up my friend...
Anyway these are Neds words and his pics
"
9mm by Rohrbaugh. No Plus P's in this one please, but who would want to? Very compact, very well made. I don't care how well your tux is tailored, you can find a spot for this where it won't show. A little bit of extra dehorning, night sights (not yet installed in pics), serrated rear of slide, textured slide top, some minor trigger work, Conamyds front and rear..... one mag left stainless. One done in shiny W-DLC. One in matte W-DLC.... color coded in case my esteemed client wants to, you know, have three different loads on him for three different kinds of zombie
Frame (aluminum alloy) has be re-anodized, everything else save the hammer is W-DLC'd. I left the hammer bare stainless to serve as something of a "register" for seeing which end is which in the dark (tritium inserts will be slightly recessed forward and not visible outside of a 90-degree cone)."
Now I just need to find a couple good pocket holsters for my friend here...
Also, what ammo are you guys shooting now ?

I like it! Looks great!!!!!!!!

Looks really great!
It also raised a few interesting questions:
Who is "Ned" that did your work?
Where did he find tritium inserts that are small enough to work on the R9 (especially up fron)?
What are "conamyds"? I like them and think they are just what the R9 needs, but I've never heard that term.
Thanks -- looks like you've got a winner.

What happened to the serial #? :-X

What happened to the serial #? :-X
It's not mine but I would guess that it was photo shopped out. Lots of people think posting guns on the www with numbers showing is a bad idea for some reason.

The serial # is still there, just blocked out for the pics.
Ned is Ned Christiansen, one of the top 1911 smiths out there and also a regular contributor for SWAT and many other mags.
He is no longer taking new work though....
I do not know where he got the inserts
Conamyds is his own type of checkering

very nice work and a super looking gun. 8) You and Corey have topped the charts on sex appeal. Just when I was thinking of doing that to one of mine pups. :'( Tom
