All,
Just registered for your forum, which looks great! I'm moving from the People's Republic of Maryland (MD) to FL, which is my home - military Home of Record - and next duty station in June. I'm looking forward to concealed carry there, and very interested in the R9 as a CCW. I'm a quality-over-quantity believer, and think the R9 is right for me, and beautiful, but have a few questions...
Is it possible to have my friendly, local MD gun shop order one and take delivery in MD? The gun needs to have a spent cartridge shipped with the weapon here (!) which seems to be an issue for some manufacturers.
If that works, who should my dealer contact? He is not a current dealer but he will "get whatever I can" - great guy.
What should I expect (understand there is no hard-and-fast) to pay for 1. an R9 or 2. an R9S?
Would appreciate your help. Looking forward to being part of the club.

Hello Bob, welcome. The R-9 is sweet. You will feel the quality once you get one in your hand. I am not sure of the going price, but I think in the area of $1150.00. I would suggest that you hook up with Tom from Irish Guard Firearms. I have heard nothing but positive feedback from folks who have dealt with him.
Happy shooting

Bob, welcome to the group. The Rourbaughs come with two spent cases, as far as your dealer getting one, as long as they are allowed in MD he should be able to order you one, my dealer here in NC got me one and it is the first he had ever odrered. The ordering would be dony by calling there and talking with Maria, the contact info is.

I got my R9s about a week and a half ago and have fired about 75rds. with no issues. You will not regret getting one.
Good luck. John

Bob, Welcome to the forum. You will really like the R9s. If your MD dealer can't get one for you, I could order one and have it ready to ship to a local dealer in Fl. Let me know if I can help. Tom

Thanks to everyone for your good advice and support. Tom, if you don't mind, I'm going to send you a PM with a couple purchase-specific questions.
