Title: Just Spent My R9 Money On P7M8
Post by: sharp on March 25, 2009, 02:37:18 AM
Well I'd been planning for a while now on rejoining the club.....(sold my first R9s a few years ago)......but found a deal on a NIB P7M8 that I couldn't pass up!  Then I put $1000 on my "emergency" credit card at American Home's bankruptcy sale to keep my wife happy last weekend.... so I'm gonna have to wait a while longer for a new pup.  As soon as I get the cc back down to $0 I'm buying one.

I can certinly understand the allure of the p7m8. The p7 was one of my holy grale guns, and I finally got a  p7psp at a decent price. I still get tempted to get another one, but I resist only because there is less income due to being off work on disability. I am sure that no one here will hold it against you, because Rohrbaugh is here to stay and p7's will become less & less available. Enjoy the p7 and when you get your Rohrbaugh you will have another fine firearm that will likely become a constent companion.

"Just Spent My R9 Money On P7M8"

We all do stupid things every now and then.  Just have to focus on learing from your mistakes!  ;D

Just kidding, I sold a R9 or two also that I could kick my self for.  :'(

Quiet1:

Thank you, Sir.  That P7 is now even "sweeter," thanks to a little help from Virgil Tripp and Karl Nill:   8)

That is nice, real nice.  I am looking at one now, see site below. Is $850 to much?

Dino:

I would say that, currently, $850 is about top price for a "Grade A" P7, with top price for a "Grade B" being around $600. The grading is supposed to be based on the amount of internal wear. Some "Cult" members like the so-called "plum" slides -- some don't. Those who don't usually have their pistols refinished in some way.

Thanks guys and thanks for the link Richard.  I just bought a Glock 22 and already spent $300 on it.  Maybe I should put this buy off till my birthday in June. Better for the marriage.

Unless you want to sell yours Richard?

Dino:

I've agreed to leave the P7 to my son-in-law in my Last Will and Testament; provided, however, that he keeps his promise to continue treating my daughter in the manner to which she deserves to remain accustomed. In the unfortunate event that he should happen to break that promise . . . well . . . suffice it to say that the P7 could be available -- for the right price, of course, and following my trial by jury and the exhaustion of any subsequent appellate processes which might be required.  ;)
