Title: Extreme Shock: Air Freedom Round
Post by: dojohnso on July 21, 2009, 06:20:00 PM
Greetings fellow R9rs....

Quick question coming from a newbie (just picked up my R9s Stealth from my FFL today) (MANY THANKS TO TOM @ The Irish Guard, for hooking me up!!!).

I was curious if anyone has experience running the Extreme Shock 9MM AFR rounds thru their R9, and what their experience was?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't used it and it looks interesting for Federal Air Marshals, etc.,
but I don't think I would use it in the R9 because you might need to
penetrate a windshield in a self defense situation.

Based on  this review (http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/bot23.htm), I won't be buying any.

ccw, thank you for that enlightening article.  Unfortunately, I had been sucked into the hype, so have a few of those rounds around the house.  Il blow it off plinking, and stick with the WInchester SHPs.

Best,

ccw,
That is a really great website.  Lots of good information there.  I have never trusted those ExtremeShok claims.

Those old guys on "Box of Truth" website sure know how to enjoy themselves.

Great story. So much better than a gun magazine in which advertising intrudes on objectivity.

Hey, I think they're about my age. Maybe a little older.
