When I got mine a several months ago I swore it was backup only. I've fired only 15 rounds through it (my range closed temporarily) but it quickly became primary carry (often my only carry)! Trigger and carry comfort are fantastic. It will go back to backup status once I find a comfy way to carry my primary, but I have no problems carrying the R9s as the only gun. Well, I do have a few problems with that, but I get over them. Enjoy your new R9 -- sounds like you already are. Hope the range here opens up again soon so I can do the same.

Welcome, and enjoy!
I must admit I carry a G22C (.40) as well, most of the time. But I carry the R9 ALL the time.

..... But I carry the R9 ALL the time.
That is one good decision, for sure.

I've been on the job two months shy of 26 years and I have to say that this gun is a welcome blessing to carry everyday. When I'm off duty, it's the only one I carry, and as many of you guys know, it's half the battle just to find a pistol in an adequate caliber that you'll carry comfortably in a variety of clothing options. The small caliber guns are comfortable but I don't have to comment about the traditional choice of calibers. If there is anyone on this forum that is on the fence about making a R9 purchase, get off of it, and pony up the cash. It's more than worth it. The R9 is the cat's ass, plain and simple.
