Do you guys ever feel the need to remove your R9s extractor for cleaning?
If so, how often?
I don't shoot mine very much but I carry it every day and I wonder about lint and dust and such getting in there and jamming up the works.
Thanks in advance for the help...

I don't mess with the extractor on any of my pistols, I do use an airchuck with my compressor to blow off and out the guns I carry. If one does not have an air compressor, the cans of compressed air used for computer keyboards work pretty good.

I routinely clean the extractor on many of my guns. The one on the Rohrbaugh looks kind of tough to get in and out and I've been wondering about whether it needs cleaning or not with a low round count gun...

I agree with John. Just use air to blow out the gun, and works fine for me as well. This is in reference to cleaning the extractor.

I just use a spray of Ballistol, a blast of air, and a swab with a Q-Tip to clean the extractor of my R9.

If you do pull it out for shine up or anything for that matter use a new roll pin when you put it back in. I might pull it out every 1000 shots or so while doing a deep clean of the gun BUT for regular cleanings I would not.

Thanks for the info...
