Title: Robared Magazine Extension Pics
Post by: Sigquick on November 03, 2010, 07:11:45 PM
These are the extensions John is selling. They are incredibly well made and fit tightly on the magazine. I Sent them to Robar for NP3 coating to match Robar R9s. Robar only charged $15 per extension if anyone interested. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

SIGQUICK,
looks excellent. I appreciate the product endorsement.
It's kind of like looking at my pup only I don't have a Robar coated extension but did have the mags done.
I held back one extension from being anodized and did a little reshaping and polished it to a mirror finish.

We both have twin digit serial numbers, mine is 3443  :D

I like the Del Fatti also.

John.  That mirror finish is excellent.  That would be good to offer as an option.

Won't happen, if you want it polished send it out to a polishing shop or have at it yourself, way too much time involved.;D ;D

I don't mind spending a couple hours on something for me but I doubt anyone wants to pay $100 for a polished mag extension. :o

Both Ext - good looking for sure.

I'm with John, I like the idea of NP3 mags - just smoother going in and out, even though SS already.

There is a used Robar model on gunbroker starting at $999, no reserve. It looks excellent. It is however a 14 day auction. First used one I have seen for sale.

Looks like it has a reserve now.   Bet it around $1600

That was a missed opportunity for someone, if there had been a bid he could not have added a reserve.  :o

I asked the seller how much to end his auction. He wanted $1900 :o, guess he didn't want to end it early. I agree with ccoorreeyy its probably got a reserve $200 less than retail since its the only Robar listed anywhere for sale.  I wish him well though. Guess we will have to wait 13 days to see what it brings.

When you wait, you loose; in this case, at least.    :(

The gun market has softened a bit from what it was a few months ago, NIB Seecamp 380s that were bringing $1200 are now sitting unsold for $895 shipped. :o

John
Title: Re: Robared Magazine Extension Pics
Post by: kjtrains on November 06, 2010, 11:23:23 AM
Haven't seen any Seecamp .380's for that price except one on GunBroker, as new, for buy it now $875, and one for a starting bid of $899, $15 shipping; although haven't looked anywhere else.

I've decided I don't need another!    ;D
Title: Re: Robared Magazine Extension Pics
Post by: yankee2500 on November 06, 2010, 11:34:20 AM
The one I'm referring to is on the Seecamp forum and has been for sale science Oct. 19th. It started at $1020, there is another one that just sold for $850 shipped it was also listed for
$815 FTF. :o
Gun Broker prices will almost always be higher because the seller has to pay a commission on the selling price and listing fees.

Second used Robar R9s getting added tonight by a NY dealer. It doesn't go live until 8:57 EST. Starts at $1500, buy it now $1700. Seems a little high for used but it looks like new.

I'm thinking Robar could fix that small ding on the trigger guard without a problem.

Looked like a reflection at first glance, can't believe it would leave Rohrbaugh that way. Might be an opportunity to talk the price down and then return for a free fix  ;D
