Momma said I could get a pup if I was good. ;)
So I promised to feed it , pet it , and take it out every day.
Today I picked up ''Blackie'' , my new R9 Stealth.
I will take very good care of her , hope she does the same for me ! Range report coming soon.

Wild_Boar,
Welcome to the group and Congratulations on getting the pup.

See... sometimes it does pay to be good!! Enjoy your new stealth & welcome.... :)
-
The bark is probably worse than the bite - they more playfully nibble ...
Congrats on the new pup - you will enjoy your first range day!
-
Congrats on the new pup! I see that you have named it as well! ;D

I would be a little bit careful with that Pup, they not only nibble they may bite if you are not careful and do not treat them right. Congratulations, you should be very pleased!

WB:
Welcome!
Just keep that pup clean and well lubricated, allow it to cool down a bit following strings of fire, and it will serve you well. You now own what our member Reinz aptly calls "the Holy Grail of pocket pistols."
-
Get your support thumb behind that slide and you will get one heck of a bite.
It will be YOU that bark!
-
Why would anyone do that?
-
I haven't a clue.
-
I've heard it can happen to someone on their first shot when they aren't ready for a little "flip".
Probably just a rumor though.
-
Maybe into S M. ;D ;D

The first I heard about the improper grip you describe was last week from the instructor in my CHL renewal class. I thought he was just blowing smoke but they must see everything. For example, one of the shooters in our group released his slide on a loaded magazine prior to firing but then he racked the slide and ejected a live round because that was his normal firing sequence. The instructor was all over him for that little faux pas before he settled down eventually. It is astounding what some people do with their weapons.

I've seen it a lot, actually, at the public ranges. Either bites on the web of the primary hand, or, a chunk missing from the support hand. I think it would be easier to do on the R9 because it is just a touch smaller than some others!
-
I don't understand it because it is less stable and hazardous. That is one good reason not to go to a public range if there is another alternative.
-
Anything with the word "Public" in it should be avoided. ;D ;D

Amen, John, with the possible exception of "restroom" after "public" in some cases.

I still go to the Public Library. ;D

You must take your lap top to the library with you.
