Thank you Ken for posting the picks.

This is the R9 with no 9MM stamped on the barrel.

Adam.  You're welcome.  Anytime, just hollar.  That is one great looking R9, even without the stamped 9mm on the barrel.

I still don't know if I want to carry this one. I may take it out of the safe deposit box once in a while to look at it, clean it and return it. Who knows, I may change my mind. ;D

My recommendation -- change your mind. The R9 is the ultimate carry pistol and was not designed to be a "safe queen." Mine is  coming up on seven years of being carried on a daily basis, and with regular maintenance and shooting to maintain familiarization, it still looks new. Just get a top-grade holster for the little masterpiece and enjoy the comfort provided.

Good luck!

If you don't carry it or don't shoot it, sell it. ;D
Its a tool with a purpose and thats not to sit in a safe.

All the above is very good advice.    ;)  However, this is one you have to make your own call; but you know that!    :)

Wolverine, Is the 40 LPI checkering and hard chrome? The flats look great, very nice job. APW Cogan?

Yes. Bob Cogan @ Acurate Plating & Weaponry did the custimization. It took about 6 weeks. It is 40LPI front and back strap checkering. Hard chrome finish, Matt rounds and brushed flats.

Very nice job, very nice, I have one here waiting to get the same treatment and yes I will carry it. I can understand why you would keep it pristine though. To each his own. Makes the world go round.

I have another one in my pocket as we speak. It was customized by Cogan and has black VZ checkered grips. The only difference this one is not ported. They do an awsome job on the checkering and hard chrome.
