Title: A nice surprise from Robar
Post by: nase on April 15, 2011, 02:22:42 PM
I posted a little while back about sending my R9 off for some NP3+. Robar told me at the time that I was looking at 6-8 weeks turnaround... but today, a mere 20 days after I dropped it off at Fedex, it is back in my pocket. I no longer have to walk around feeling naked all day :)

The gun looks great, and I'm taking it out to the range tomorrow to make sure everything's in order. I'll throw some pictures up afterward... I don't really want to whip my pistol out at the office and start taking pictures of it. They already think I'm a gun nut, and I don't need to give them any more ammo, so to speak.

That is awsome customer service. Good luck with your PUP.

I just sent in one of my R9s to have the NP3 coating applied on the internals. :D

As promised, here are a couple of pictures:

Sorry for the cell phone camera quality. There is actually a tiny bit of pitting on the backstrap, but it's quite minor, and I'm not really bothered by it. It's too small to be picked up with this camera.

I took it out to the range yesterday, mostly fine, but I did have one stovepipe. It was hard to clear actually... the rim was still stuck under the extractor. I want to take it back out soon and see if it's a recurring thing or just a fluke.

Y'all like the background? ;D That's a Form 4 I'm about to send off for an Osprey .45 can. Very excited about that one, but it's gonna be a few months.

Looking good.

Send picks of the can on the 45 when it's time!

Nace,

Can't believe turnaround time for your Robar but maybe obama's economy has a silver lining after all.

I am a Robar R9 owner. I love the "one tone" gun and have never looked back since I bought it off this website over a year ago.
