I just sent the following correspondence to the Rohrbaughs:
Gentlemen:
I am writing to thank you for your creation of what I believe is the finest pistol I have ever had the pleasure of owning. After over 35 years of gun ownership I have to say that my R9S is the first pistol that I am truly happy with right from the box. My Ed Brown 1911 made a trip to Ted Yost before I was happy with it and my Glocks go to Robbie Barrkman at Robar before they go on my belt. My R9S isn't going anywhere. It's perfect out of the box. It has been flawless with approximately 100 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 124gr and more accurate than I could have imagined. I am also amazed at how quickly I am able to acquire a sight picture with the diminutive, but effective, sights. I have never been more satisfied with, or confident of, a pistol before. To have this level of quality in a pocket pistol is all the more amazing.
Thanks

mario, welcome to the group. Very nice endorsement of the pup. I'm sure they will appreciate the letter.

Well said, Mario. You can trick it out, if you like, and it might do this or that for it, but it is excellent, as-is.
Welcome to the forum. You will learn much, and enjoy the comradeship. Great group, very savvy folks.
-
What's up with the cheap jewelry add at the bottom of the post?
DD beat me to it. Thanks
-
Can't figure you out Mario... Your post sounds legit but contained commercial links that are not even close to being allowed here. Your e-mail name looks to be of foreign origin.
But...I like what you wrote. I hope you are legit, but color me suspicious...
If you are here for the right reasons, welcome.
-
There starting to do their homework.

Mario:
If you are actually a new owner of the R9, welcome (with congratulations on your taste in handguns).
If you are actually a "spammer" trying to use the Forum as an advertising venue, bug off (with congratulations on your skill at English composition).
-
Mario. I'll add my welcome as well and also congrats on the R9, if you are truly legit. If not, the consequences will follow, however, very good words.
-
It seems legit, let's give him a chance. If he's not, he worked hard at his post.
-
Just about like he worked hard at inserting another bogus ad.

eye_spy. The commercal links are not allowed on the Forum. He's now put them back after being deleted by the Forum Administrator; not too cool!
-
eye-spy I would have to disagree with you. The reason DD edited his add was because
"but contained commercial links that are not even close to being allowed here."
and now Mario has re-edited his post to include commercial links again. It's time to say by to Mario! He is no Rohrbaugh fan.
-
You guys would buy a bridge in Brooklyn if it praised the R9.
-
I bet MurrayNevada would vote Mario out!

I believe Mario is on his way out! ;D
-
He should have been out two days ago.
-
Yes! ;D
-
Gone, of course. He was clearly a spammer, but clever. Props to CWC for finding the old post -- now it makes perfect sense.
They are getting more and more clever, but you can't hide spam links...
He is now IP banned, e-mail banned, and username banned.
-
Good job, DD; you rock!!
-
Great work, Duane and CCW!
So . . . this character is not only a persistent and malicious spammer but also a plagiarist. We'll need to keep an eye out for him. Like an influenza virus, he's probably going to "mutate" and attempt a return.

Perhaps he senses a strong market on the forum for cubic zirconia? ;)

He might be better advised to try hawking his cubic zirconia on a forum for one of the "knockoff" polymer guns. He should realize that people who carry thousand-dollar pocket pistols are a poor target market for the imitation stuff.

I'm fairly sure that these people don't comprehend very well and probably are paid by someone to do these posts. They do this plagiarizing gimmick not even knowing what it is and could care less, maybe being in a foreign country. As Corey said, "they're starting to do their homework".
-
Agreed. We give them too much credit. It's all about paroting something else and getting lots of volume.
However, I stilll have to wonder -- who buys stuff from these links?
-
Well, I stand corrected.
I didn't see the original post, but I figured he knew his arms, so give him a chance.
Oh well, like the who said "we. Don't get fooled again".
