HAS ANYONE RECENTLY SPOKEN TO ERIC OR KARL?
I AM ALWAYS GETTING SOME WOMAN NAMED MARIA, WHO CLAIMS THEY ARE BOTH ALWAYS OUT DOING "CHORES".
WHAT'S WITH HER? TALK ABOUT NASTY. I THOUGHT THEY'D BE AT THE FACTORY MAKING MORE GUNS, SINCE THE MOVIE AND ALL. THEY ARE SO HARD TO FIND. ANYONE SEEN ANY AVAILABLE? I WANT ANOTHER ONE BUT WITH SIGHTS THIS TIME, JUST LIKE ANGELINA'S. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE NEW BRAD PITT MOVIE, MR. & MRS. SMITH, KARL TOLD ME THEY USED THE R9S IN IT. HE SAYS IT IS ON THE MOVIE POSTER ON ANGELINA JOLIE'S THIGH.(mmm...WHAT A PLACE TO BE.) ANYONE SEEN THE MOVIE YET? GOT ANY PICS OR COPIES OF THE MOVIE. KARL ALSO SAID WE'LL BE SEEING IT IN A FEW MORE MOVIES COING OUT SOON. THINK ABOUT IT, AN R9S ON THE BIG SCREEN. WOW. I CAN'T WAIT.

Not sure what to make of this one - every time I have called and talked with Maria, or anyone at Rohrbaugh, they couldn't have been more pleasant, or polite. Maybe it was your demeanor???

I THINK YOU ARE MISTAKEN

Some times I just don't understand! Maria is great on the phone. She could not be nicer and does all she can to help callers. I guess it is tough being on point! The pistol on the leg appears not to be a R9. Tom

Maybe a Deltonic, But not a Rohrbaugh

Eric doesn't answer the phone anymore. I don't think Karl ever liked to talk on the phone much.
As far as I have been told, Karl is there all day every day making guns.
That is clearly not an R-9 on the poster. Wonder if they did a switcheroo on the poster after getting a sample from Karl? Not unusual, but why substitute for that piece of crap?
-
To be fair to MR SMITH, there is a scene in the trailer video that shows the lady opening a multi-drawer case of weapons that has a drawer with 4 guns that might be R9s....hard to tell. If they did pull a switch for the poster, it was probably to use a flashier gun. I'll keep my eyes on her thighs for the benifit of the forum members.

I don't think anyone is being critical of Mr. Smith -- he hadn't seen the poster and was going on what he was told. Eric had mentioned this to me as well -- so I think they are certainly expecting the gun to be in the movie. You never know what ends up on the cutting room floor though...

maybe....

I blew up the drawer photo, the Auto's all appear to be NAA Guardians, and the small revolvers clearly are NAA.

"Watch for additional reviews coming soon in Guns, Guns and Ammo and SWAT. And don’t fear, movie fans: Mr. and Mrs. Smith, starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and featuring the world’s smallest and lightest 9mm, is now set to hit theaters June 15." AN QUOTE FROM ROHRBAUGH'S WEB SITE.
ALSO, KARL HIMSELF TOLD ME IT WOULD BE IN THE MOVIE.
I GUESS WE'LL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE RELEASE.
AS FAR AS MARIA GOES, I SEE OTHER MEMBERS ON THIS FORUM AGREE WITH ME.

REALLY?, I HAVEN"T HEARD THAT BEFORE

Mr Smith - I have not yet seen any comment by members here to the effect that Maria is other than pleasant and helpful - but then much can depend on her impression of a caller I guess as to how she may respond.
Small point - writing in all caps is in cyber terms ''shouting'' - and somewhat hard on the eyes ....... do try lower case and caps as per norm - it'd be appreciated! :)
-
Well said Chris, I did not comment because I thought I would be too harsh. You can't get any better than Maria. Regards, Tom

I have found Maria to be pleasant...hell, downright charming when I have spoken to her. ;D
-
>>I agree with FireBreath, Chris, and others about Maria's pleasant and professional phone demeanor, and also the annoying use of high caps to express oneself.
Makes me wonder if the two subjects might be related...?...if in fact verbal High Caps were used on the phone with Maria, she might well have kept the conversation short and to the point. I certainly would, although I would probably lack the grace of Maria to express myself in a constructive manner...having been told by a former boss that I lack certain professionalisms. I'm glad I got rid of the boss now that I work for myself **widea**grins**, and that the organization we both worked for at the time got rid of him altogether...! Sometimes what comes around, goes around, and it's just a beautiful day...
About the R9 in Hollywood... When I was at the new factory facility back in February Karl told me about this story. It seems someone in the industry and working on this picture owned an R9. Somehow it was brought to the attention of the director and he loved the gun...!...and decided to make use of it. While telling me about all this Karl was just finishing up some special black R9 grips (heavy lacquer, as I remember) for the gun in use on the Jolie thigh and other scenes in the final cut...TW<<

Elegantly expressed, Chris. My sentiments, exactly!
-
I hope everyone knows that my temporary use of the big letters was just a subtle jab at Mr. Smith to point out his overuse.
-
logical - yep - no probs! :)

I'll add my name to the list that regards Maria as pleasant. In fact, I thought she was very nice.
The bad news is that she did not make good on a promise to call back regarding my repeated attempts to buy Rohrbaugh shirts from the website store.
Has anyone got a Rohrbaugh shirt? I tried to buy the golf shirt and the long sleeved T, with the Rohrbaugh name down the sleeve. No call back. No shirt.
What else would you wear to the movie premier?
