Title: Clicking on "New" doesn't work!

When there's new posts in a thread, I click on the blue "New" button but nothing happens.

Sort of on the same topic, when there is a new post in a thread I'm watching, I get an E-mail, which is what I want.  But when I click on the link I'm taken to the first post in the thread rather than the latest post.

Are these problems limitations of the forum software or is there something I need to do at this end?

I think the "new" is just letting you know it's a new thread; nothing more.  I could be wrong.

i believe kj is correct, but that doesn't stop me from clicking on the "new" numerous times a day too. just used to it from all the other forums...

Yep.  However, if the little hand doesn't come up pointing the  index finger, no need to click!    ;)

my hand is faster on the mouse than my mind is at noticing. such is life...

I always thought that they were just "flags" nothing more.
