I really would Like to have an R9. I went to the local dealer with $1000 in my pocket all ready to buy and their sticker price is $1800. The guy is a jerk too. Told me to leave the store if I wasn't going to buy anything. >:( I guess the thousands that I have spent there over the years doesn't matter. This is rediculous! How Can someone buy an R9 without involving the local gun store? Do I have no choice but to buy from him? If that is the case I will buy something else from someone else. Does Rohrbaugh support there dealers robbing people like this?

chopprs, First let me welcome you to the Forum. Rohrbaugh does not control how gun dealers do business. Yours sounds like he"s not a very nice person. I personnaly would never do business with him again. I suggest you get in contact with Tom owner of Irish Guard Firearms a supporter of this Forum. I am sure he can help you out. Good Luck Dan

I purchased mine from Tom and could not be happier with his service I would drive to find a dealer willing to help

Hi and thanx for the reply and the welcome. I have been reading the reviews and your forum and was pretty psyched when I went to the dealer to buy my new gun as they said on the phone that they were in stock. He is listed on the Rohrbaugh website as an official dealer. I was appauled to find that a manfacturer is listing a rip-off artist on there site as a factory outlet............
He will never get another dime from me! Please tell me how to get in touch with Tom. :)

Be happy you do not live in California. The R9s are off list and would sell for $1,800.00 if people could even get there hands on it.
-
chopprs, just send me a PM ( personal message) Tom
-
Choppers:
By all means, get in touch with Tom. He is a true "gentleman and scholar" and can help you obtain one of the R9s.
And welcome to the Forum!
-
I agree!! Tom will do you right. I have bought 2 from him and he is super...
-
chopprs, welcome to the forum and enjoy. I tried.... Tom

Hey Tom and all of the rest of you guys, I really do appreciate all of the help. :) I guess I am just a little frustrated that I can't walk in to a store and buy something for retail price and the merchant could be happy making his full profit. I greatly appreciate your help Tom but as I said, because of shipping and local laws and a merchant(FFL) fee, by the time I get the gun it will be several hundred dollars over retail. I just can't swallow that. :-/ I really would like one of these in my collection but I am not going to sell my soul to do it. Maybe I will get that Colt target pistol I have been thinking about and wait until someone has one of these in good condition used for a reasonable price. Thanx a bunch guys.
-
chopprs, my price to you is the MSRP price, nothing added here. Tom
-
Yes Tom and thanx for posting that. I do realize that but there is shipping and in New York (The Vampire State) The gun has to be shiipped to a registered dealer and they charge a fee for this. So, as we discussed It would cost me several hundred dollars over your price. You are a good man and I do appreciate it............I need to move to another state where the people are nicer! ;D
-
now you are talking ;D Tom
-
..........house listed with Keller & Williams. Moving to North Carolina! ;D
-
where in NY was this store?
-
Not pointing any fingers. Doesn't matter anyway. He will never see another dime of my cash.......
-
it matters to me , i live in ny and would rather not waste anytime going to that store. im on long island.
-
If you are on Long Island no worries. That store is hundreds of miles from you. :)

Typical FFL fees in Georgia are $25 to $75, gravitating around $50... Get the R9, you will be VERY impressed.
AND welcome to the forum! And, even better, welcome to the SOUTH!
-
My local (middle Georgia) gun dealer does FFL transfers for a donation to the local chapter of the junior sheriff's assoc. of not less than $5 and no more than $20. He keeps zip for himself!
-
The guy I use here in NC charges $10, I have heard guys say in FL some charge $75 and CA can be $100 or more. John
-
theres a dealer near me that charges $75 for FFL fees,to me thats a F*in rip off and if I go 20 min.north the other dealer only charges $35 for FFL fees and is a GREAT place to deal with. shout out to www.ammo4guns.com in hopewell jct. NY

Yankee
You are correct about FL. my transfers cost $50.00 including my discount. They say it's because of all the insurance they have to carry :'(
