Send some prayers for my buddy Dozer. He's on life support tonight. He had an abscess, and was putting pressure on his heart. Doctors relieved the pressure temporarily, but are unable to locate the root cause of the abscess. He is being held at the emergency hospital and right now his status is pretty much unknown. Wish him well.

DOZER UPDATE - Doctors have been unable to stop the growth of the abscess because of a very very long and scientific medical term that I wont begin to type, or understand. There was another surgeon that come to the clinic today and was not able to make any progress. They suggested two different options, and were very honest about their inability to get him diagnosed. They told me that if I had the means, they would refer me to a specialist who might be able to help him out, or they offered to put him down. He is in obvious pain, and thus, drugged up pretty good. I pretty much decided that I'd go to whatever length I could, short of losing the roof over my head to save his life, so I picked up him and took him to a specialist in NW Oklahoma City. Lets hope that this new doctor might have more success and I can bring him back home.

You said it. Bunch of strangers, brought together by a common interest, showing support for one they have never met. It's pretty moving.

Adam,
My prayers to to both you and Dozer! As I type this I am looking at my 11 year old 1/2 Golden 1/2 Yellow Lab. I agree with you, they are the BEST! Have you heard the new country song I think it is "love me like my dog does". Very true words.
Best wishes,

I was watching a video I took of Dozer a few months ago on youtube. I put a video of another Bulldog on the laptop and Dozer did not approve! Thought some of you might enjoy it!

I called the doctor at about 10AM CST today, and he told me that blood work has come back. It is a little too technical for me to understand, but I will be leaving work early and heading to the clinic where I hope to get more information. As of right now, I know that he has stabilized and they have his fever back down, but no word yet on the abscess.
