Title: Best classifieds to find an R9?
Post by: floundering on November 26, 2012, 05:36:54 PM
I'm kind of new to guns but am looking for a deal on an R9 that has a warranty card.

Came across gunbroker.com and it looked pretty promising.  Any other good classifieds to check out?

Have you checked the buying and selling section on here?

I did, thanks.

It appears that most recent ones have been sold, with the exception of some special edition models, which I'm not in the market for.

I have purchased R9s from the classifieds here, gunbroker.com, and gunsamerica.com all with great success. I have also had luck finding some really rare R9s by posting a WTB (want to buy) add in the classifieds here, which should work whether the gun is rare or not. I prefer not to buy guns in an auction because it is easy to pay too much. Sometimes if you post a WTB add someone who may not have gotten around to posting a gun for sale will take the bait and send you a PM and you can go from there. Good luck in your hunt and please update us when you find your R9.

Ok, I know for a fact that even some older ones that haven't been bumped to the top are still for sale, but I'm thinking probably most of them are what you would consider special edition models anyway.

Regardless, check the forum/classifieds section regularly as when a good deal/nice gun pops up often times it is scooped up rather quickly.

Hopefully your WTB ad will help you!

Welcome to the forum, by the way! Looking forward to you having your own R9 and interacting with us here!
