Title: Dirt ain't cheap anymore!!
Post by: snowy on January 03, 2013, 08:55:01 AM: Got my Cheaper than dirt January catalog. They list the gold dots on sales for 18.69. I went to order them on line today and they are now 29.99. I called them to ask how to get the catalog price. They told me they are flying off the shelves so they had to raise the price. Supply and demand I guess, i think that's B.S. they paid the same price for them if there on the shelf. I'm ordering from the Jan. Catalog and it's Jan.3rd.

My last order from CTD !!!!

I wonder what I'd do If I owned an ammo store? ::)

Post by: docboss on January 03, 2013, 01:34:52 PM: Check their prices on AR 30 round mags. Were 29.95 now 99.95. 10 rounds are still the same price, but out of stock. This stuff goes in cycles, but gouging their clients is bad business. Cabelas still has some Gold Dots at about $23.00/box. I am going to range today. Guess I'll shoot fewer Gold Dots. Doc :o

If CTD and Dick's weren't doing anything wrong before the Sandy Hook shooting why did they suddenly pull rifles? If they shouldn't have been selling rifles then they shouldn't have been selling rifles BEFORE Sandy Hook either.

I'll never buy anything at Dick's or CTD ever again.

I have not done any bidness with them since,nor will I in the future,even if they had the best prices in the world!
I understand supply and demand,but whats happening all over the boards,with all our fellow gun peoples asking outlandish prices for their goods.. :o Its like the ban has already been passed..

We are our own worst enemies.. :(

Agreed.

I didn't buy anything from CTD before this incident; I did and I emphasize the word did, as in past tense do business with Dick's.
