Title: Ammo to go
Post by: dddonkey on January 27, 2013, 07:40:23 PM
Has anyone ordered from this site? They have gold dots in stock at a fair price for today's market. They say 24 business days till they ship but that because of the amount of orders they are getting. I ordered a few boxes and will see how it turns out. I need to fire the new pup for the first time.

I bought some golden sabres and gold dots about 2yrs ago.  I got good prices and great service.  Of course there was no Helter Skelter goinng on at the time.

I've dealt with them a few times; they're GTG.

Thanks for the comments, I got a reply back from them saying the ammo was in stock and is due to ship around 22-26 FEB. Any one have any recommendation to get some ammo faster for the R9 in AZ. I have the brand new stealth from Tom that needs to be shot. I did find some Horndy Zombie rounds but wee told the primers are hard.

dd:

Cabelas shows Federal 9mm 124-grain JHP in stock as this is written, but you might want to hurry. I can't seem to find Speer Gold Dots or Remington Golden Sabers in 9mm listed as currently in stock on any site.

The smaller gun stores in my area seem to be keeping their stocks up better.  It is interesting to me to see what the big sporting good stores still have in inventory.   Academy sports doesn't have anything except lots of 10 mm and some .22 mag.

This makes me think what it might be like if it were the food supply, instead of guns and ammo.

Also, you might try just using fmj, my pup eats anything I put in front of it.

Good luck with your search.

Thanks, I might just try that.

In order to replace some ammunition I had given to one of my daughters, I ordered a replacement supply of .380 Auto Winchester Ranger Talon 95-grain ammo from Ammunition To Go on January 11, 2013. ATG advised me by return message that there would be a three-week delay in shipment due to their backlog of orders and limited staff. Four days ago I was advised that my order had been shipped via UPS and was given a tracking number. The shipment just arrived at my door.

That is what I call excellent customer service. I therefore am able to recommend ATG as a reliable source for ammunition.

[Edit: Corrected typo]

Bought stuff from them many times. They usually have a pretty good supply on hand. They've always treated me right, but I always buy from them on-site rather than online...they're about 5 miles from my house.
