I carry a gun because I have a stalker. I have been to the police 15 times and find them clueless, and show no interest. Then there is the time factor - in any serious incident, by the time they arrive, you would be dead.

If you are jogging in coyote country, or on a road trip, or in a bad neighborhood - a gun is a necessity. The thrill of 'Carrying a gun' wears off in a week, and a big gun gets boring in a day. America has become a 3rd world melting pot, and South Florida is a cross between the Mideast/Russia/Mexico and retired 'Road Rage types'
