What is a Rohrbaugh R9 Custom?
-
I think they were later models with hints of color in the slides. OD green was one of them. Not sure of the others.
-
It could be a "Cogan Custom Rohrbaugh" like the one you sold:

This gun specifically is what I am inquiring about...not a Cogan. Why would I ask a question about a gun I already sold?

Beats me.

The "custom" despite its name was a production model introduced at the same shot show as the Tribute model. I have seen all black models and all black with a dark greenish slide. Hope this helps.
-
This one has the greenish slide...any other differences? Thanks, BlueC2.

I'll try to dig up the old thread when I get a chance.

Below is a reference to the R9 "Custom" by Duane at the 2012 Shot Show. That may be the one of several made at the time. I don't think there were many.

This post by Duane is just one of many examples of his outstanding stewardship as our forum administrator.

Thanks, Tracker. Being a source of info from the factory has always been a fun part of this job. Many times I knew things I couldn't say -- and that was tough...
However, under the circumstances, I am happy to turn that job over to Eric -- so we can now get it from the horse's mouth!
I do miss my old routine at SHOT Show. I would hurry to the Rohrbaugh booth when the show opened on Tuesday, see the guys, take photos, and then rush back to the press room to post the photos and a quick write up.
