All,
I took my R9S for its annual trip to the range. By that, I mean I stick to the "shoot a little, carry a lot" mentality and try to stick to putting limited rounds through to the pup, especially considering recent business transactions where parts and such are limited.
I had put about 50 rounds through my Glock 23 at a range with no A/C in the South Carolina heat, and by the time I brought out the R9S, my palms were fairly sweaty and the pup jostled around more than I cared for. I have some gloves that I used to keep the little guy situated properly, but my ultimate concern is that in a SHTF situation, my palms may be naturally sweaty and need a firmer grip than what nature allows.
Do any of you have (preferably from experience) any textured grip replacements you can recommend? I realize that some manufacturers may have discontinued offerings based on the Remington acquisition, but any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks for keeping this forum alive, and here's to the best concealed carry pistol ever designed!

The palm swell feature of VZ grips combined with 3M tape, otherwise known as skate tape, or the excellent similar product from Talon will address your concerns, in my opinion. Installing a magazine extension will also enhance the grip purchase issue.

Just a little strip of 3M on the front and back does wonders... 8)

You're right but I have it on all surfaces including sides of the grips and on the front of the mag extension.

I have talon grips on other weapons, the sand paper type, and it really helps but it does take a while to get use to drawing the weapon from a holster. Talon also makes a 'rubber' type grip that is not as harsh as the sand paper type, you can buy sheet of it from them and cut to your needs.

I have only used the Talon rubber grip material for the reason described above and it works well. It is very adequate for gripability, will not peel off, but is simple to remove if necessary.

Having necessarily worn latex surgical gloves for many years, I finally developed a serious allergy to latex rubber...several hours after contact skin itches, blisters and peels offf; it takes 6 weeks to heal. Those with such allergy should beware of rubber grips and tapes.

VZ Grips carbon fiber models have exceptional grip and look very well

Or, simply get the checkered version of VZ's grips. I found them to be a big improvement.
