The slide has been drilled and tapped for the clip, correct.

Clip is secured by 3M aircraft adhesive. Never came loose. Works perfect for carrying without a holster.

Yep.  I was seeing those screws in that clip and saying, Oh no, not into the slide.  Glad that was cleared up!
