Dear Forum members,
I have not logged on in a very long time. Life changes happen. I did enjoy the forum a great deal. A few minutes ago I wanted to go to the Rhorbaugh web site to see if there was anything about the R45. I was stunned to learn the company was sold! That is the under a rock theme.
I do not see this as a good thing in any way. If any of you have anything positive about this please let me know.

I suspect there are no plans for an R45. Remington has just recently released a .380 model. The .45 ACP seems like a long way down the road, if Remington even continues to commit to the "R9" style platform.

Not sure if this is positive or not, but I feel most of us felt similar to the way you did at first and then have moved on ya know. Accepted it. Part of the grieving process I guess.
So now get your hands on a good R9 or two and you should be set for life in the R9 department. Right? Williams is doing a good job for now and as long as parts and the Remington warranty continues to be available we should be in a pretty good spot. Hopefully some of the parts will be able to be used from Remington's version and the true blue R9. Idk????
It's the way it is. Once you have time to digest it you will likely not feel so under the rock hopefully.

The R9 is still (and will be for many years at least) the best concealable 9mm carry pistol ever made. Shoot little and carry a lot and each pistol, with proper care and decent ammo, will last a lifetime for that assigned role. Value will increase slowly but incrementally as collectors wise up to the situation. Josh, a classy man who is a serious advocate...as many reformed skeptics are wont to become :-)) ....said it well. Welcome back!

Thanks for the information/advice. I really like the carry often and shoot little. The Robar is too nice to just let it sit in a safe. I did that with the ASP that I traded to get the Robar.

I two have not logged in for quite a time - WOW! Kinda shocked!
I have a question. I went to the range to shoot the other day and my R9 would only fire every other time of pulling the trigger. I could hear/see the hammer hit each pull but the gun only fired one out of two times. Anybody got any suggestions??

DRT (Dynamic Research Technologies) 85gr HP. I was trying to use something very light as I was just now getting around to shooting it after having it for 7 years. The first time I shot it, it nearly came out of my hand and the pin that holds the barrel on nearly came out. I sent it back to Rohrbaugh, they replaced the pin and sent it back. This is the first time I have shot it since then. I remembered the gun nearly coming out of my hands the first time so I decided to use the lighter load. BTW it did jam a couple of times also.

Mine likes 124 gr lawman or gold dot the best I think and seems to digest 124 gr HST but I don't have as many rounds of experience with HST as GD
I would start here with a pinky extension and maybe a handi grip thing if it is getting out of your hand. They typically aren't that hard to control, but I imagine you may get more used to it as time goes on.

This is the worst gun to use light loads in. Use at least 115gr. (I use 124gr.), but use standard pressure.

I was lucky enough to get a small supply of WW 147 grain sub sonic ammo. My Robar runs like a champ on it. It also has both a mild recoil and less muzzle flash.
