One of my local dealers has a Robar in stock if anyone is interested. This dealer tends to cut prices if it means a sale. At this time it is listed at $1795. MSRP other dealers tend to mark up from there. If you are looking for one, give them a call, they are good guys.

Not a bad price! Even better if they will go down from there. 8)

Good to see one of these are available. :)
-
He has it in the same case as the Wilsons and Nighthawks under it's own little spotlight..... pretty......... ;D

Wonder if he would let you take a picture of it, the next time you're in there. I know what they look like, but just good to see one that's for sale and with the Wilson and Nighthawks.
It would just whet the appetite, and like I need that!
-
Yes, he has it in a place of respect for what it is.

I know this place. I was treated like family there by Neil, and Kerri.
I had my R9 and LWS 380 with me. They shot the 380 and then I pulled out the R9.
I let both Neil and Kerri shoot my R9.I can't believe just about five years ago. ( wow time flies by)

I'm sure there are not many sitting on dealers shelves.

I really like that indoor range, chief & chameleon. That's an added bonus to the gun buyer. Don't have one around here, close.
-
This business is in the process of getting approved for a indoor rifle range now. If you buy a gun from them, you get free range time for 3 months, unlimited. It is where I go if it is raining or I want to zero my Crimson trace sights.

Wonder if you can shoot a Barrett 50 caliber there?
-
That is the problem with the Barrets. Most places are not built to support a gun of that much power. Even outdoor ranges have issues with them due to there long lethalty range.

I can shoot at our outdoor range here, as the berms are huge so no problems with that and they're arranged in the proper configuration. I don't know of an indoor range that will permit or even be capable of the shooting with that much power. Maybe, that one in Germany.
-
The guy who owns a gun shop near me was looking into opening a range, and there are units you can purchase and hook together, (like large trailers) and they are approved for 50BMG fire.
He may still open some type of indoor range, but the startup cost is around 1.5 million, according to the info he has gathered.

Our range here is fine. It would be nice to go to an indoor range but I can put up with outdoor no more than it's fired.

Well, that range isn't local to me, it's about 1200 miles away.
I would go there often if I was closer (a lot closer).
For those that live near this range, it is a pleasure to shoot at, and they are well stocked with pistols, rifles and all the goodies. It is a very nice shop and range.

I just got back from there. They had been talking to Maria and told her many customers ask about what to load and she told them that they had been working with Corbon for a good load for the R9's. He had just gotten some of it in so I had to buy a box of course :)
Corbon DPX 9mm Luger 95gr 1300fps 357 ft lbs

Will be interesting to see how that works. :)
-
Chief,
That's good, we will have three different brands of 95gr ammo being tested for the pups. I have some Federal 95gr coming and Wired is going to test some of the Magtec 95gr ammo. Let us know how they work.

I'll be interested in all three of these reports, for sure! :)

I have someone at my office that may wish to buy my Stealth. If they do that i am going to go down and buy the Robar if it is still available. He also has a R9s and an R9s Stealth in stock, so it should be safe for a few days.

Chief,
Sounds like a good plan, best of luck.

Good luck, chief. Hope the Robar is still there when you're ready. That's a rare item, as you well know.

Even Taliban at 2K+ meters is not an efficient back stop.... ;)

Great answer, P7. Love that Barrett! ;D
-
Yes, Barret is a great weapon. I wish it had come along sooner, but it wouldn't have been quite as useful in the Jungle. Would have been great to have though. Many times we would fire single carefully aimed shots from the M2 and it almost always hit where we wanted it to (Even without sights, but then again you tended to "aim big" knowing this)
They are having great success with it stopping vehicles.

It's amazing, for sure!
