Post by: BlueC2 on March 31, 2017, 09:25:55 PM
Just wondering if Mr Driver is a member here?

I was wondering the same thing. He bids on EVERY R9 that comes up, and wins a lot of them. Pull up R9 history. His name is almost ALWAYS involved. The &%###@^& even bid against me on a few.  ;D

He must have a VERY large collection of R9's based on the 2-4 he buys a month.

I hope he is a member. He is obviously a fan.

If you click on the member link and search for Driver, there are a few members, but none that I recognize.

I have never seen a post here under that name. Maybe he prefers to remain anonymous.

Whoever he is he is not afraid to spend money. Funny thing is he will even buy R9's with no box that have had a tough life.

MAYBE, and opinions are like , well you know what, he is volume buying to refinish and resell them. They sure are not going to get any cheaper. Heck 5-6 months ago I bought a LNIB two tome with papers and two mags for $900 on G-broker. They are now $1300-$1500 in the same condition. Wish my broker did that well with my investments.

Mr. Driver is not a member of this Forum. I can assure you that he is an individual, just like us, who has become a lover of Rohrbaughs. He has no hidden agenda. And no, he is not me.

Thanks Norm - I guess i was just curious. I am not really in Rohrbaugh acquisition mode so I likely wont be bidding against him anytime soon.

Check the bid history on the R9's for sale on G-broker. I BELIEVE he is in every one.

It seems like if the same two guys are the high bidder on every auction, they could communicate and save each other a few bucks.

He just won another one. He bought that Stealth that had a frame scratched to hell. Paying $1250 for a scratched gun shows how serious he is about buying almost ALL the R9's that come up.

I am just looking for another shooter. Mr. Driver just keeps pushing prices higher on most ALL the guns. Guess that's good for the two I have but not if I am looking for another.
