Thoughts on Aging
« on: July 06, 2009, 03:10:03 PM »
One of my old hunting and fishing buddies, in response to a complaint I made about the process of aging, just sent me this little gem which deserves to be shared:

[size=10]Life should not be a solemn journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body but rather a riotous adventure pursued with the intention of skidding sideways into that great beyond, body and mind thoroughly used and exhausted, a strong drink in one hand, a fine cigar in the other, and only enough residual strength to shout, "Thank You, Lord, what a ride!" Excellent!!   :)    :)  Very fine words indeed.
Let us have faith that right makes might, and in that faith, let us, to the end, dare to do our duty as we understand it.  Abraham Lincoln
