Yes -- which is why they are so expensive.  CF material is expensive and it is hard to work with.

I understood they are not CF, but G-10 material that simulates CF..        [A look-a-like material]

That was an interim plan, but they settled on staying with the CF.

Is it wrong to covet thy forum neighbor's gun??? That is a great pic from where I'm sitting - without one!

>>Yes, the grips are available through Rohrbaugh even though they are not listed on the web site.  Cost is $85 per set + Shipp & Handling.  Call on the old 800 number but remember they have moved to the new location now in case you plan to send a check (I posted the new addie on an earlier thread).  Bear in mind too that the R-Boys are still in transition, so they may not be as responsive as we have come to enjoy.  And definately call them because I'm unsure of the new Fax number if you were planning to Fax an order.

Eric told me the other day that these new grips are "the look" they wanted to achieve from the get go.  He even put them on his personal R9.  But hold on to those original blue grips as they will become collectors items one day, as will guns with the old "Farmingdale" designation on the sides.

I wonder if anyone will be getting a Rohrbaugh for Christmas this year...?  Lucky person...!  I wonder if Santa works off his own personal FFL, or if he must work off the corporate FFL back at the shops...?  Come on...tell me you've never wondered the same fricken thing...?...!!!...TW<<

Haha ..... I reckon he gets special dispensation from ATF ... so is exempt himself.  They know if they don't play right by him - he'll not be calling. :)

They are not taking or filling orders for grips until the factory is up and running and production of the guns is in full swing - probably not until after the SHOT show. I ordered a few minor items last week and was told that even those will be delayed a few weeks.

I guess in order to "assure" a set of grips-I probably should just order another R9.. 8)

Also-I am sure The Jolly One has an FFL as I have received special presents under the tree in the past.. ;D
