Hello,
My name is Mickey.I am a Sergeant on a Sheriff's department.I am fortunate enough to be a member of a FBI Task Force, and , an instructor at two local Police Academies. My hobbies include the Martial Arts, and Knifemaking.
Thanks to another formite,(George), I purchased a Rohrbaugh Pistol. This afternoon, I fired 120 rounds through the Pistol.Even without sites, I was amazed at it's accuracy. The recoil was negligable.I shot Blazer's, Gold Dots, and Hydrashoks. This gun prefer's the Gold Dots.
The gun had a few burps, but, I shot the 120 rds. fairly fast, causing it to heat up quicker than normal.I also had two failures to chamber. These were caused by me.They occurred when I purposely held the Pistol in as weak a grip as I could in order to try to induce a failure.Even with a grip only strong enough to hold the gun, it still took 6 rds. to cause the first jam.
i am a big advocate of the Seecamp line of Pistols.Since these designs share several similarities, field stripping and reassembly were not a problem.
I am impressed with the overall functioning of the gun.The Rohrbaugh, like the Seecamp, was designed to be carried, and, to reliabily fire a magazine load of rounds when needed. The workmanship, inside and out, is quite impressive.
