Direction of trigger pull on a R9

I noticed that it looks like the trigger on a R9 doesn't pull straight back.  Maybe it's a trick of the eye, I don't know, it looks like the trigger pulls at at angle to the slide.

If you look at a lot of M1911 pistols - it's obvious that the trigger pulls STRAIGHT back parallel to the slide.


Does anyone have any thoughts on the trigger pull?

1911-style guns have triggers that slide straight back in channels cut into the frame.

Other designs use a trigger that pivots on a pin.

The trigger on my R9 is just fine, very smooth and shootable. I don't notice any quirky behavior when I'm shooting it. It's a normal trigger to me and I own some 1911s and Pythons too.

The trigger on mine pivots straight back.  It has the best hammer-fired, DAO trigger I have ever shot.
