Our forum is too slow!!!!

Are you folks like me, just checking the forum all the time hungry for new posts??  It seems we have slowed down a bit.  I guess thats to be expected as we are not a large group!!!  When we were all receiving our new "pups" we were all talking!!!  I appreciate this forum very much.  I guess we will all have to talk our buddies into buying at least one so we can have more chat!!!!  Have a great New Years and be safe.  Your friend, (in the thumb of Mi.)   Jim

I've participated in a bunch of different forums, and stopped participating in most because the troll/annoyance factor far outweighed their usefulness.  Without exception, the ones I have stayed with are specialty forums that attract few, but very knowledgeable people.  The more people a forum attracts, the greater the percentage of dimwits and trolls seems to be.

Forums dedicated to high-end pocket guns seem to attract only serious, knowledgeable people because only such people can truly appreciate them.  I appreciate that and like the forum the way it is.

I agree with both of you - there hasn't been much chatter lately but we certainly don't want mindless drivel, either. I think the forum will pick up somewhat after the holidays. The factory shutdown and move has obviously slowed things down, winter cold and daylight hours hinder range time, as have the holidays. I have had my R9S for two weeks now and it has just been killing me to have not been able to find time at my range to give it a thorough firing test. Oh well, another week or so and I should have some time to myself, whether at an indoor or outdoor range and then I'll be happy to chime in with some reports.

Indeed - quite a quiet spell.  I agree with comments made and it does not worry me too much.  I think if we all try and swing by daily then, from time to time there will be a resurgance of posts.

I have not had much to add of late .. tho not too long ago did post some pics of the gun and a grip (mine!) in order to fill a gap, following someone's request for same.  Guess it didn't need replies much but quite a lot of views.  Sometimes threads just seem not to generate a huge lot of response.

I am well happy for the forum to remain fairly small and ''exclusive'' .... it does well what I think Duane had in mind.

WOOPS, sorry, hit the wrong key and posted prematurely!!  WOW, I'm happy!!  We have generated some discussion!!  R9s I appreciated your grip post, it was well done..  I believe we can "chat" on this forum without becoming trollish.  I believe that anyone that isn't respectful won't last very long!!  I miss hearing from Mr. Hedley and his great wit...  He considers himself to be "older" however, he and I look about the same age!!!!  Have a great evening,  Jim

Everything is slow right now with the holidays, Rohrbaugh isn't churning out new guns yet -- it will all pick up with a vengance after the SHOT show I do believe!

The more I think of it, the more you are right, I would rather have the more Knowledgeable people, there are alot of Dimwits & Trolls on the other Forums, I appreciate the more serious, I want to read to Learn about a product I purchased, not about How Big my Gun is.

The R9 is still the best all around Gun on the Market.

And the Best saying is still--(You get what you pay FOR).

I think the Christmas season has slowed up things a bit..

I know we have had 0 degree weather where I am at ,and that would slow anyone up..
