How do you know when your R9 is to be delivered?
« on: November 22, 2004, 10:53:55 PM »
When I ordered my R9s, the delivery was expected to be in December or so.

How do you folks know when your R9s is about to be delivered?  Do you contact the factory directly or talk to your shop?

Knowing how busy they are at the factory I don't want to bother them if I don't really need to.

Thanks,

Craig T.

Craig - see this Announcement

Looks like some delays are probable but - I guess only way to keep tabs is to either ask your FFL to check up with Rohrbaugh - or contact them direct.

In both my cases, apart from knowing Eric personally - I was told what my S/N would be in advance - so that was one way to check on progress.

I guess - bottom line - you'll have to ask.  Hope you won't wait too long but - could be longer than you'd hoped.

The bad news is that everything is shut down right now for the move...  However, they are prepared to really crank it up once they are running again.  Eric hopes that they will be caught with all orders by Spring...

I am anxious but I also want all the bugs worked out as well.  I guess I will just chill out, follow this forum and savor the wait.

When it gets a little closer, if I contact the factory with my name, FFLs name can they give me updates on the shipping schedule?

Absolutely you can call and check on the status.  I would wait until they are up and running again... but they don't mind such inquiries.

Gator,
Thanks for the input.  I am sure the chatter here will give me some hints as to when to contact the factory.

By the way, your article was very good.

>>Hi Craig...

My #2 gun was supposed to be delivered by the end of October.  When I last spoke with Eric a couple weeks ago he suggested it will be sent out among the next batch, which realistically means February...maybe March.  Besides the move they are trying to gear up for the Shot show early '05.

Gator is right...go ahead and call Eric...he won't bite...just be courteous.  Sometimes he is busier than others.  When you call ask him if this is a good time to talk, and if not - when?

The wait will be worth it...!  Meanwhile, to keep your mind off the wait just go back and re-read everything on the Roughbaugh forums...!...TW<<

Hi guys - I echo TW's comments. I e-mailed Rohrbaugh today to check on delivery of my gun and to vouch for the dealer with whom I'm working. I sent the message around 2:00 pm and Eric himself called me at 5:00 pm to explain the delay due to the move and also verified my dealer is a straight shooter.

Eric was exceedingly polite and did not rush me off the line - even put up with a few of my questions (which I'm sure he's heard a thousand times!). He apologized for the delays but explained why and I of course fully understood. A class act for sure.

I would get in touch with Eric after the first week in  Feb,05. They will just be back from the SHOT SHOW in Vegas. All the machines should be installed and organized. Production should be in full gear by then. Tom

Maria called me out of the blue a few weeks back to tell me mine was almost ready to go and for me to arrange FFL transfer.  A week or so back and forth with a new local FFL and he finally contacted Maria and sent payment and copy of his FFL.  Week or so later, pistol was shipped to him and it arrived last Friday. HE DIDN'T CALL ME, but I confirmed status with Maria today and she said it was shipped and he should have it.  I then called my dealer and even though he was closed today, he answered his store phone and said it was in. I now have it in my hands.  July '04 -> March '05.
