New magazine springs

Just received four of the new extra power magazine springs ...they are CONSIDERABLY longer than the old springs. Will report later this week when I go to range.

I'm assuming that you got the extra power magazine springs from Rohrbaugh. Is that correct?

Yes, springs are much longer than the previous mag springs (almost twice as long). Just got back from range. R9 fired 50 124 gr. gold dots with zero problems. I have had this gun for awhile and had previously fired @700 trouble free rounds. Had carried it in pocket but not fired it for awhile until range trip a few weeks ago, when I had 2 failures to eject which totally tied gun up each time. After that, I came home and changed recoil spring, installed new mag springs which I just received yesterday, took off Uncle Mike grips (see my post on "lets summarize" thread)cleaned and oiled. Went back to range today, and am happy again.

with the extra length are you still able to get 6 rounds in the mag?

Another thought: maybe the new magazine springs will
preclude the perceived need to break in a new recoil spring;
they should be more in balance than the previous combination.
Although, I was told by the factory that it wasn't necessary
to break in a new recoil spring, some people here thought otherwise.

Hey guys, silly question....
How does Rohrbaugh ship the replacement magazine springs (US Mail or UPS/Fedex)?  

The reason I ask is because I live in an apartment, and I don't want my package stolen if it's left outside my door, and has to sit there all day looking like something to steal? Adult signature doesn't always work, the UPS drivers just simply forge a "signature", been there, done that.

My last pkg came UPS..
But I believe that anything over 150.00 value requires a sig..

I am sure that when you speak with Maria,they can do USPS for a few springs..

Good question; They ship UPS ground and charge $8 + for
shipping. I received some recoil springs and grip screws in
a package that looked like a Humvee had run over it.
Fortunately, the goods inside were allright.
I just received new magazine springs that were received in
excellent condition. It seems to me that USPS Priority mail
at $4.05 would be a better option.
