Mainiac,  Welcome,  When the slide locks it is usually because a little piece of brass has shaved off and is floating around in there somewhere.  If it happens again take slide off and clean.  It doesn't take a very big piece.  Tolerances are pretty tight.  Use only quality ammo.  Dan

Dan,  Never gave that a thought. If it happens again (hope not) I'll give the slide a look for shell shavings. They could rattle around in there till they did a slide stop..... ;D  Thanks for the tip
